The arrival of new airlines and increased schedules by existing operators is expected to give an added boost to the island’s capacity. This follows Easy Jet’s recent purchase of the GB Air operations that will continue, while British Airways is adding flights to Pafos this summer.
“It’s a positive start for the New Year and we are hoping to observe a better increase in traffic growth,” Henry de la Monneraye, Acting Chief Executive Officer for Hermes Airports. “Hermes Airports is looking forward to offer travelers higher level of services with the opening of our new terminals at both Pafos and Larnaca in 2008 and 2009, respectively".
